บริษัท เอ็ม-แลนดาร์ช จำกัด ผู้แทนจัดจำหน่ายอากาศยานไร้คนขับ และบริษัท AeroVironment Inc (AV INC) จากประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย ได้ส่งเจ้าหน้าที่วิศวกรของบริษัทฯ เข้าร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นในงาน Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) จัดขึ้นที่เมือง West Lake Village รัฐ California ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ระหว่างวันที่ 13-15 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2565 รวมถึงการเข้ารับชมการบินสาธิตทำการบินและเทคนิคในการบินปฏิบัติภารกิจต่าง ๆ ที่เมือง Simi Valley รัฐ California
ในการสัมมนาที่ผ่านมา บริษัท AeroVironment inc. (AV) ผู้ผลิตและเจ้าของผลิตภัณฑ์ของอากาศยานไร้นักบิน, ยานพาหนะภาคพื้นดินไร้คนขับ และเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารและเชื่อมต่อระยะไกล ได้มีการแนะนำเทคโนโลยี่ที่ได้รับการพัฒนาล่าสุด เช่น
- อุปกรณ์ขึ้นลงในแนวดิ่งสำหรับอากาศยานไร้คนขับขนาดเล็ก (VTOL kit for SUAS) ซึ่งเป็นอุปกรณ์เสริมสำหรับอากาศยานไร้คนขับรุ่น PUMA 2 AE และ Puma 3 AE โดยที่เราสามารถประกอบเข้ากับอากาศยานเพื่อทำการบินแบบขึ้นลงแนวดิ่ง หรือสามารถที่จะถอดออกเพื่อทำการบินแบบปกติ
- ระบบการนำทางแบบใช้การมองเห็น (VNS: Visual-based Navigation System) ในกรณีที่ GPS ใช้งานไม่ได้ โดยระบบจะช่วยให้ผู้ทำการบินสามารถทำภารกิจต่อได้ อีกทั้งยังเพิ่มความมั่นใจที่จำทำการบินในสภาวะแวดล้อมที่ GPS ถูกจำกัด โดยการทำงานของระบบการนำทางนี้จะใช้เซนเซอร์ตรวจจับและจดจำภาพบนภาคพื้น และคำนวณตำแหน่งของอากาศยานในขณะที่ทำการบินซึ่งระบบจะทำการเปลี่ยนระบบการนำทางโดยอัตโนมัติ ทำให้ผู้ทำการบินไม่จำเป็นต้องสั่งการอะไรเพิ่มเติม
- อากาศยานไร้คนขับขนาดกลางรุ่น JUMP 20 โดยทำการขึ้นลงในแนวดิ่งและมีขีดความสามารถดังนี้
- ระยะทำการบิน 185 กิโลเมตร
- บินได้นานมากกว่า 14 ชั่วโมง
- น้ำหนักบรรทุกสูงสุดที่ 13.6 กิโลกรัม
- เพดานการบินสูงสุดที่ 17,000 ฟุต
โดยอากาศยานชนิดนี้ยังสามารถสร้างรูปภาพของภูมิประเทศได้โดยระบบ Synthetic Aperture Radar ซึ่งสามารถนำไปปฏิบัติการในภาระกิจการสร้างแผนที่ได้ และมีขีดความสามารถที่ป้องกันการรบกวนของคลื่นวิทยุได้ เป็นต้น
นอกเหนือจากเทคโนโลยีที่กล่าวไปข้างต้น ทางบริษัท AV INC ยังมีเทคโนโลยีอื่น ๆ อีกมากมาย อาทิ เฮลิคอปเตอร์ไร้คนขับ รุ่น VAPOR 55 MX, ยานพาหนะภาคพื้นดินไร้คนขับ (UGVs) ซึ่งบริษัท AV INC ได้ทำการควบรวมกิจการของบริษัท Telerob จากประเทศสหพันธรัฐเยอรมนี และเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารแบบ Mesh ซึ่งทำให้การเชื่อมต่อเป็นไปได้อย่างราบรื่นและรวดเร็ว

During 13 – 15 September 2022, M-Landarch did assign one of our engineers to attend Technical Interchange meeting 2022 (TIM 2022) with was held by AeroVironment Inc. (AV INC) at Westlake village and Simi valley, California, USA. AV INC provides the solutions from UAVs, UGVs, ISR (INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE & RECONNAISSANCE) services, and network and communication technologies.
AV INC did present its latest technologies as following:
- VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) kit for small unmanned aircraft systems (for Puma 2 AE and Puma 3 AE only) can transform fixed-wing to VTOL in minutes, and it can be disassembled.
- A visual-based navigation system (VNS) that enables GPS-denied navigation across contested environments. The system will provide operators with continually advanced navigation capabilities, features and functionality through anticipated software and hardware updates. Moreover, Operators can now execute missions with more confidence in GPS-contested environment with this system. The next-generation navigation system features a suite of down-looking sensor that gather imagery and track features on the ground, and determine the precise location of an aircraft while it is in flight. This system is designed with operator in mind, the system automatically transitions to and from GPS-denied navigation mode without any input from the operator.
- The AeroVironment JUMP 20 is the medium unmanned aircraft system (MUAS) which is the first fixed-wing and capable of vertical takeoff and landing and has the operation range of 185 kilometers, 14+ hours of endurance, up to 13.6 kilograms payload capacity, and 17,000 ft maximum operating ceiling. There are also the synthetic aperture radar which create 2D images or 3D reconstructions of objects, such as landscapes, which is a good tool for mapping, and anti-jamming.
Last but not least, AV also has other technologies such as VAPOR 55 MX (helicopter UAS), UGVs from a leader in ground robotic solutions, Telerob, and mesh communication which will connect smoothly and swiftly.
